This work explores the dramatic meeting point of land and sea — Whitby Abbey rising above clustered houses, held between sky and water.
Built through layers of acrylic and alcohol ink, the surface shifts and fractures like weathered stone and moving tide. The textures echo erosion, salt air, and history — where architecture feels suspended, almost floating, between memory and movement.
The sea below is not just a backdrop, but a force — carrying reflection, depth, and quiet tension beneath the town.
A study of atmosphere, structure, and the poetry of the Yorkshire coast.
